Define screwed?
By screwed, I essentially mean that I do want to purchase it, and I'm ok with the $12k price tag. It is going up to $15k in 3 days and will probably continue to go up before I get my CyberTruck in 2025 or whenever. Currently we have it on our Model 3 and while the FSD portion still could use some work, the enhanced autopilot (which I could buy for $6k right now) is definitely worthwhile to me on long highway trips, which I do often. When I put down my reservation for the CyberTruck, I didn't have a model 3 or any experience with base autopilot, vs enhanced, vs FSD. Now I want it, but can't add it. So I feel screwed.

I didn't add FSD when I made my initial reservation. Now that it's going from 12k to 15k I can't figure out how to add it so I can lock it in at $12k. Is this possible or am I screwed?
Maybe you can contact Tesla and ask how to do it. It is only a reservation so ignore the naysayers.

Agreed.
@MikeX, like I said earlier, call tesla. It’s your best bet.

Even SAE has changed the levels a few times.

There's nothing meaningful between 4 and 5. Autonomous cars won't ever be allowed everywhere.

I paid 7k for FSD for my Model 3 and I'm OK with that. I wouldn't pay more than that.
What ticks me off is 2 things: firstly, it stays with the car and secondly it doesn't seem to add 1 cent to my resale value. Ditto my 2K performance upgrade.
I reserved my CT with the 7K FSD and trust Tesla will honor that deal. If not, I will be seriously p-ed off.

The more inflated resale value is, the less any add-on option is worth.

The more capable FSD is, the more valuable it is on the second hand market.

Up until now FSD has been essentially Enhanced AutoPilot plus the option to beta test more features. Problem is what you are beta testing requires every bit as much attention as driving normally so it’s not super useful.

For what it’s worth, Tesla is expanding the beta by quite a few users.

Pretty gutsy increasing the beta by 60%, adds a lot of drivers who are guaranteed to be less attentive to the mix.

I haven't seen any ads where they even mention that the vehicle has FSD or the performance boost. I would definitely pay extra for those features if I were shopping for a used Tesla.
