My morality applies the same standard to all body parts equally. Your alien has chosen to cover the booty at the bottom but not the one on top even though they look exactly the same. If covering the bottom booty is a sign of decency, so should be covering the top one.

Great thing about mining in space: once you set up your factory, shipping is almost free. "It's all downhill from here!"

Well except you have to send up some kind of empty sleds for controlled descents. Also there is that problem of governments getting anxious when you have 10 tons of rock you want to drop into the atmosphere which is a potential weapon of mass destruction.

Maybe that whole space elevator idea isn't so bad after all.

So I think I've got the connection here.

Tesla makes Cybertrucks, they deliver them to the aliens using the Starship. The aliens load the capsule with space goodies to make more Cybertrucks.

This is why Bezos is sad that New Horizon can only haul 5 tons. It can only lift 1 Rivian at a time. Starship can lift 3 Rivian's or perhaps as many as 4 Cybertrucks (weigh estimates vary).

My personal belief is that at some point in the past an intelligent species visited our planet.
They took one look around and left here screaming at Warp Factor 10.
When they got to the edge of our solar system they put up a force field that will never allow a manned spacecraft to leave it.

I’m waiting for the argument to surface where someone says we need to explore other planets in search of cancer curing compounds. Seems like every other exploration endeavor uses that justification. And if that doesn’t get enough cash support traction, the ante is upped by saying we have to go there now before the resource is lost forever.
