I for one can't buy what I want, because it doesn't yet exist...

There's a general lack of options when it comes to making choices for sustainable goods and services. The options we have now, will not be the same options we will have with a sustainable energy economy.

It's a bit of a chicken and egg problem, in that most don't even create what they want, rather only consume what others make. I hope that one day our choices can be directly converted into products we create, sustainably.

You can buy what you want.

Just don't expect to be able to release exhaust downtown or in the park or on spare the air days.

And there's no reason we should allow someone to manufacture and sell something that's spewing toxins everywhere.

Well before any of these deadlines there will be plenty of affordable EVs to choose from. By the time we get there people will wonder why there is even a ban because nobody will be buying gas cars and they will be expensive to operate.

There will always be those who want to blow smoke. It's the stragglers the laws are for.

Right now the fastest four-doors are BEV. And they're beating out ICE powered vehicles smaller and four times more expensive.

You're right. They'll mostly wonder why anyone would want to trudge along in a gas-powered uneconomy box.

There will be Dino-burners littering junkyards for decades to come they will have plenty of options and likely dirt cheap.

You should be allowed to own one forever. Just have to add an exhaust collector so they can release the fumes into your home every night.

I don't think the folks that would do that, care about what Tesla claimed.

Huh? Anyone who would shoot a firearm at someone elses car or truck just for the hell of it don't care about anything and deserve what they have coming to them.

Had my M3 for over 3 years and haven't noticed any difference. But admittedly On freeway I don't pay that much attention to the other drivers. I still get a kick out of getting on freeway at my local onramp which is fairly steep up hill. Every time I get someone tailgates me before the ramp I would slow down more on the right hand turn and then BYE BYE! It just never get old!
