Absolutely! Actually for my first prototype I had no cutouts on the top, because I had envisioned the power cable feeding in through the bottom of the wall connector, where I already had a cutout for the charging cable. There might be users out there with a top side entry for the power cable, in that case a cutout is needed anyways to accommodate the power cable coming in.

Another thought re: cutout - Could the cutout be covered/plugged with plastic sheet that resembled the tonneau cover??

I have no idea where you’d even get that, haha!! There’s a little piece on the back of this die cast model.

It wouldn't be on the same plane as the tonneau cover area. It's going to be like this. Those that have power coming in from the top can remove it. For those that have power coming in from the bottom, it can stay + it will help with WIFI signal strength
