That kind of tears it for me. I’ve been a long holdout, but now I’m reindexing my expectations for Dual Motor Cybertruck to the Model Y AWD at this point. If that happens, the only way I’m getting the CT3 is if I hit the TSLA Jackpot (we beat the previous ATH before my truck is delivered).

Hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised.

Quietly slowing demand or capitalizing on the gas increase triggering an EV purchase spike?

Musk just made a comment about Tesla being under significant inflationary pressure.

My thinking here is they just pushed through the 2 new versions of the Model Y so they could release a lower cost version of the Model Y. Good chance that even though demand has been strong that this last change is going to start to take it’s toll on buyers. We’ve gone up 13,000 in 13 months on the Model Y.

That is Nutso.

one method of conditioning the base an increase is justified. Another is sending Tesla employees here to sayTesla needs to raise the CT price.

(while I am pretending to be irrational, there were no surprises)

I will be running through through GigaTexas taking ALL pens from every desk I see. I will also arrange a pool for charity to predict how far and how many pens I will liberate before being tackled.

(I really would do this if they knew this was for fun, I would not get arrested, and done in a state with one or two firearms)

My theory is that if I can’t afford the Cybertruck when my number gets tapped, my Model Y will have appreciated enough I can trade it in and the equity in my MY will be enough to make up the difference.

The crazy thing is with the number of people who have bought a Model Y to hold them over until the Cybertruck launches I might not be alone.

Also… just noticed your comment on the stock price.

Keep in mind these price increases are incredibly BULLISH for the stock. It demonstrates Tesla‘s pricing power. In general I think Tesla is in a really good position here stock wise.
