Yep, my town is having its first 8 stall installed, construction started a little over a week ago. Though I can think of 2 other locations I would rather see them, but this is a good location for everyone else.

A friend and former business partner is installing these and more. We are getting four new locations in Phoenix. I told him this:

Bring one home. Let’s wire it to the ped in front of my house and become the neighborhood Tesla hangout. They call it “SATS” -- “Stand around and talk at the Supercharger.” We could probably trade for whisky.

And I thought one of these desktop Superchargers was cool.

In 1990, I nearly bought a house which was once owned by the area's bus company's owner. It had a 1930's petrol browser installed in the driveway.

It was once pumping petrol, but by my time, had turned into art.

And now this.

The more things change, the more things stay the same.

Sutherlin is in a hub point that gets traffic in like five directions, and already has truck stops. It used to have three rail companies come together. The Roseburg area is one of the fairly steady Oregon industrial zones.

The mills and logs from where I was a kid all got sent there now.

There's a funky Oregon kitsch store there, too.
