Regardless of side? Party platform matters as well. That's how they manage all the things not mentioned in their campaign, oversight, committees, judges, etc.

Politics is a team game.

-Crissa
You’d think the party platform matters. Nobody seems to have told the Democrats that a massively successful business which is pushing hard on sustainability and green power is exactly the sort of enterprise they should be embracing.

Isn’t the environment and climate change a huge part of their platform? It’s extremely telling that a hugely pro-environmental business chose to move their HQ to Texas.

The Democrats are gouging out their eye to spite their face here.

No.

The coalition is civil rights and labor rights. That's the votes.

Neither of which Elon seems to care enough to actually do anything about, hence why the right-wing scammers and liars saying sweet things to his ear are so attractive.

Why would anyone have to whisper anything in his ear when the Democrats are shouting Fuck Elon Musk?

Given the choice between silence and hatred, which do you take?

FWIW, I almost entirely agree with the Dems on civil rights… agree with a lot of their views on labor rights, but my biggest reason for voting almost 100% Blue is the environment and climate change. I suspect I’m not the only one on this.

If the Republicans can steal that issue, I think the Democrats are going to struggle.

Losing a hugely influential figure in the green/ sustainable energy world like Musk is not a trivial thing. Musk isn’t the only one who should think twice about this fight.

Insomnia? Loneliness?
No, he's being childish and has surrounded himself with proven liars and scammers.
Troll? Maybe look for another bridge? Maybe study engineering for a few years so you can build your own bridge and get over it? ?

Obviously on this "Tesla" site and thread to promote an anti EM agenda now his policy no longer aligns?

"If only" your views weren't so blatantly one sided and pure biased regurgitation.

We'll see much more of this here I'm afraid.

I strongly think EM's strategy has now shifted to crush twitter, because it is now clear it is so fake, so there is no "apparent" competition for his own new platform. That might of been the game plan since the beginning, he was pushing the bot thing from the outset.

Theres going to be a big fallout with those that supported him because of how he votes, and not because of his merit as a individual.

That is good I think, because you can't have it both ways. Put your money where your mouth is, act according to how you speak, otherwise its just more lies to modulate the narrative. ESG is not doing it, and many others not either. Who organised natural gas sales to EU after leaving the door open on Ukraine?

And whilst everyone shuffles uncomfortably in their seats, he makes heaps of new Republican customers for his products, and gets support to keep building things. Why should he do anything else? Let alone act against his own best interests?

He's making the stuff everyone wants and no one can make work themselves.

People should concentrate on supporting what they love instead of trying to demolish what they hate.

Elon goin hardcore 1 side is a huge damper on my like for tesla.
at some point it might make me not get the CT.
If i think this, im sure others do too. Not good for Tesla

personally. I have friends on both sides, I respect their right to think and believe what they want, and I dont agree with what some of them say.

but 1 side is FAR more aggressive and hateful. And its not the side Elon thinks it is.

EM said "there has to be a greater than )% chance that a republican can win in California or things will never change."
The way for a republican to have a better than 50% + 1 vote is to be a better politician and campaign on the issues that win elections. The environment in California is not what he is saying it is. There are currently 18 republicans in congress from California. There are 9 state Senators and 17 representatives.
The amount of money that Musk has makes him immune to most personal taxes and regulation. He can afford any fine or charge. Should he, and his companies do what they can to mitigate those costs? Sure.
I believe he is frustrated by the bureaucracy. I think we all are but, we do like things like clean water and air you can see through. Is it too much or not enough? The people killed in wildfires started by PG&E would disagree that regulation goes far enough.

Are you trying to prove my point or agree with me? ;)

I'm personally not for ANY party. Besides I'm not even US.

But I do believe in the "mission", and that we should fight to make thos world a better place. Politics has had their time and failed miserably, its time people took the power to govern back into their own hands, and with it all the responsibility, instead of it being dictated to them by the masters of coin.

High end gaming PC's were banned in California. Coming from a Canadian, where we are significantly more "socialist", that's nuts.

The problem is that regulation can't mandate who will pay for maintenance and installing fire safe network infrastructure. The network would have to become state owned and charge everyone equally.

Private business investment will naturally go where its easier to make money, meaning even less is done to ensure safe network operations. Especially so if there is grid defection of customers as they produce their own kWh from household solar and networks are run at a loss. It's a non-return investment. No-body except the state makes those.

I'm not saying its right, just pointing out how it is, and with more EVs it will get worse unless we can leverage more V2X to reduce network load.

I tend to hear a more blaming and bashing from 1 side than the other. I dont really watch news, i try to avoid it. or at least find sources that try to be unbiased.

But just from the people i know, 1 side really blames and bashes. You can try to have logical conversations buit it tends to just be them looping back around to some thing they heard? or know. while the other seems to be more scientific and logical

That experience might be directly a result of what side you are coming from and may not represent how it is? ;-)

Unprovoked response vs provoked response. Many people turn up the volume and get agro if they don't feel heard. No matter the side.
