Someone here used the VIN assignment to get the rough estimate of 8:1 to 10:1
Yep, that was me. I'm pretty confident in that number. There's no way it's 5:1, and even 8:1 seems less likely as we learn more. But safe range of 8:1-12:1 can be assumed. I could put together a guess of how many they've actually produced but it's hard to know. If we count deliveries I expect the number will be 2500-3500. If we count production I would expect 4000-5000.

Going on 3 full months of checking for a vin# daily. If they are producing batteries at that clip, the value of the FS premium is fading fast. I dont want A/T tires anyway.

I’m remembrance of all the cell scarcity threads, rip

in*
They never made any sense because even back then (Oct 2023) they were already at a ~3GWh run rate from a single line. Considering there are going to be four of them up and running by the end of Q3 2024 that means a ~12GWh run rate (~90k CTs) without factoring any improvement in output from each line in the intervening time.

Tesla reports all of its vehicle deliveries on a quarterly basis, because they always back load them towards the end of a quarter... Imagine CTs dashing everywhere.

I must be driving in the wrong areas of town, but since I picked up my truck about a week and a half ago, I had never seen another cybertruck besides my own--until this afternoon!
