I love reading the comments where the argument for Ford's success is, "They already announced they're going to build 150,000 in the first year. The Cybertruck won't even be out by then...".

They say Tesla fan-boys are drinking the Kool-Aid while they have a ring of fruit punch around their lips. Just because Ford says they're going to produce 150k doesn't mean it's going to happen. Ford has demonstrated ZERO ability of being able to produce even 75k EVs a year. How in the hell are they going to magically produce more double that (or more) with the F150Ltn? Unless I'm mistaken, the MachE was first delivered in December of 2020 and their production is a fraction of where the MY was by this point.

It's not about being a fan. It's about not giving a legacy automaker the benefit of the doubt because they simply don't deserve it. Tesla may deliver late, but when they do the cars are launching from the factory like a firehose by the 3rd Q. 7k-8k F150s per quarter (at BEST) may as well not be called production.

They said they'd deliver 160k in 2025. This year they plan for 15-40K, and then 40-80K in 2023-2024. And that's after they 'doubled' their targets.

Today Ford upped their goal to 150,000 in 2023.

How they are going to source cells for that many trucks is beyond me. That’s 20-30 GWh (Jigawatt hours) right? How do you pull that kind of capacity out of a hat? (Forgive my quick math if it’s off)
