Over the weekend, we took an hour-long drive to rural Blanco for a photo shoot at an "Old West" movie set. Here's a sample from the "jail":

Tesla Model 2 Teslas, Teslas everywhere Image from iOS

Anyway, as we drove I kept calling out Tesla-sightings. No more than a minute or two would pass before seeing another, even as we traveled further away from the city. It became a game of punch-bug, except with Teslas. And no punching.

So it looks like there's a significant Tesla adoption rate in central Texas, even in the rural areas.

When we drive just about any real distance we will often count Porches(any type) and Teslas. They are about as common between central New Mexico and Colorado Springs

We go to Hotlanta often and see a lot of Teslas over there.
A couple of times we have seen semi trucks loaded with them while dragging along on I-20 heading into town.
I visited the Tesla store in Decatur (suburb of Atlanta) and was very underwhelmed. Most of the people working there were more interested in staring at their phone than talking to customers.
I'm hoping they will open a store in Birmingham before my CT is built in case I can't drive out to Austin and pick it up.

i just spent a week in upstate New York, where I counted a total of 9 Teslas. They were outnumbered at least 2 to 1 by “go Brandon” paraphernalia.

Coincidence?

Yes punch bug needs to be updated for Teslas. I propose the shocker. ?.... U know cause it's electric.
I would advise against calling anything that, it means a sexual thing.

Here in Australia where the EV uptake is low, I am seeing far more on the road. When
I have to go into Canberra I see a bunch. They have free registration there for Evs.

Better now in the west as well, actually fairly common in the city. We have 4 Superchargers now as well finally in WA, 3 came online in the last few months. The most important one for me is the Williams one so we can make it to Perth without a long charge stop at one of the two other 50kW chargers along the route. Eastern states at least have a usable Supercharger network in comparison where you can get from Brissie to Adelaide.

I saw a Polestar awhile ago and had to look it up because I was naive. Then I saw a Genesis GV80, nice(!) looking ice car, had to look that up too. I keep seeing the Polestar around because it has this distinctive silver-grey that I've never seen on a car before.

Teslas are everywhere here. Who cares!?!! Lol, j/k. I've even seen a pink one. Guess the only thing that'll catch anyone's eye now is a Cybertruck.
