How about one for when the seats are down? I like being able to strap my dog to the bar below the rear seats, but want protect the doors, and the carpet under the rear seats collects dog hair, so covering that would be great.

You never answered the question about how the 'base' is kept flat between the seats. Or is the rear seat assumed to be folded up?

There is a layer of hard material in the bottom of our cushion, which helps the cushion stay stable on the gaps between seats.

You mean lifting the rear seats and placing the pet mat underneath seats?

Great Idea. I would be a buyer for my mutts since I can't ban my shedding monsters to the truck bed without a climate control. Netting allows for better confinement (slobber control) while being able to keep an eye on them.

I see one side is supported by the seats; the other side overhangs and is supported by what? The front seat backs??? I ask because there is no droop where the seats no longer support the bed area.

We placed a piece of hard material inside the bottom cushion to prevent droop in unsupported areas.
