After seeing a Delorean on the road this morning. I got home to show the kids a picture of it and noticed a newer looking Delorean. Yes, they are making an all electric version and it looks pretty sweet. Reservations are $2500and open at the end of the month.

Ginormous X-style doors and two puny hinges that they’re sprung on guarantee a flimsy fit. It doesn’t look producible. There are ways to force fit at the closure threshold but man, what is shown is throwing red flags.

Other than gull-wing doors, is there anything about this that retains the lol/feel/spirit of the original DMC vehicle?

To me this looks very ordinary. Sure I could recognize it but it just looks like a fancy sedan. Maybe a bit on the sporty side.

The original DMC screamed unique and revolutionary design.

Yup, I agree the original was gorgeous.

The new design has nothing to relate to. They should have kept original design and just updated interior, drive-train (electric) & fixed any problem components.
