Here's a good look into where and how the 4Runners are built -- inside the Tahara Assembly Plant in

Come along with us for a unique tour of the Toyota 4Runner, Lexus GX, Lexus LX and Toyota Land Cruiser Prado assembly plant in Tahara, Aichi, Japan. We had the chance to go behind the scenes at this remote plant and learn some interesting details about production there.

To piggy back, this is a good video inside the Tahara plant showing the assembly line. This was the first 2024 Lexus GX 550 going down the line, and there are portions where you can see other vehicles, including the outgoing 2024 4Runner. The 2025 4Runner will be assembled the same way, alongside the 2025 Land Cruiser and GX 550.

The Tahara plant was chosen to be the first Lexus production facility and has produced many Lexus models. The ones with the most renowned build quality and reliability like the LS, GS, GX, LX, RC and LC have all been built in Tahara. When the LS400 was introduced it redefined what was expected in a luxury car and took the crown of the most well built reliable car ever made.
