Real World MPG by Owners (gas non-hybrid 4Runner) - Post Yours ⛽️

I wonder how to the roof racks affect mpg. I have 180 miles on my ORP and it has the arb roof rack. You can start to hear it about 80mph.
So far ive been getting about 20-22.5 mostly highway and 19.5 to 20 around town granted it isnt broken in at all. Thats in eco mode.

I was reviewing this video and was somewhat floored to see this guy was getting just over 16 MPG with OEM tires and he doesn't seem like he's an aggressive driver. So all these changes and a 4 cyl motor, this is real world?

With most installing much larger tires, the mileage only gets worse from here. I'm really surprised to see milage so poor on the new 4R.

TRD Off-Road non hybrid. 2" in level in front. 285/70/18 BFG all terrain load E, no air dam or running boards. Just took a trip from Denver to Cañon city and ‘explored’ the area. Mostly in eco on hwy. normal mode when we got to Cañon/Royal gorge area.

edit to say as of today it now has 720 miles

Sport premium completely stock we are getting 23.6. Best ever was 24.9. Mileage is worse on the interstate.

I put no faith in mileage expectations from the manufacturer. Those numbers are ideal scenarios. If you live in the big city with stop light after stop light, you are not gonna get good gas mileage with extended idling in traffic.

Lol, yea it aint the smoothest riding truck. My Ranger has the same size in 17 inch and are load C. They ride great. Crazy the difference. I read a post somewhere here that they(bfg) doesn’t make an 18 in 285/70 in C. Not stuck on BFG(I do prefer them) but these tires are brand new. Do I really want to spend 1500-2000k on new tires??? Hell no I don’t lol
