Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T
285/65/18 (33.2" Dia)

Wanted to try the wider and slightly bigger diameter Mickey's on the stock suspension and upgraded TRD 18" Wheels (+45 offset) to report if there will be any rubbing for this tire size. They fit great with no rubbing.

I'd like to maybe put some +35 or +25 offset wheels on it but I'm not in a huge hurry as they look pretty good. I think some +35 - +20 wheels will give a good poke but will rub a tiny bit without a leveling kit, lift kit, or at least pushing the front wheel well felt forward and removing the rear cover and bracket. Any of these options should do to eliminate rubbing should you choose a wheel with more poke and these wider tires.

How does it feel with an E load tire? I ended up
Going with a 275/70r18 Nitto Terra grappler.

The Nitto's look great too. It was a toss up for me between the Nitto's and the Mickey's. The E load rating gives it a slightly stiffer ride. But just barely enough to actually notice. Not enough to make it uncomfortable.

And I will say, the difference in looks with the new tires on both of ours is making the wheels grow on me a little bit. I might just roll with em for a while.

After about 600 miles on 33.2 and +18 offset there is a slight rub on the front felt I’ll need to cut. Plenty of room on the back.
This is great to know. I have +18 offset wheels with a set KO3s in a 33.2” on the way.

Has it affected the speedometer much? I had my 2017 Tacoma calibrated when I went to 35” tires. It was pain in the ass and expensive but worth it for that big of a change in tire size.

I read on some Tacoma forums that it’s possible the new generations are auto calibrating. Based off the wide choice of tires available across the line this might hold true.

I haven’t noticed it materially different. It’s only 0.6 inch up from stock.

That’s a good point it would like be very small like maybe 1-1.5 mph at highway speeds and unnoticeable at city speeds.

The wheel calculator has it at 61.3mph actual speed, when the speedometer says 60mph. So not very much at all.

I've seen people just take the bottom screws out of the front felt and push the felt forward a bit, then reattach it. Might work for ya.
