  1. Has Toyota started building 2025 4Runner yet? [updated w/ production start schedule]

The word has recently been that deliveries have been delayed until early 2025. I think someone said February. So I very much doubt they have started building yet. My Subaru's I've bought started around 2 months before delivery, so it makes sense that they will start sometime around Nov or Dec...
  2. Create Exceptional Cybertruck Accessories Together With BASENOR

    1. Review Mirror that integrates into the systems existing rear camera. Let me set the zoom and position for the visibility I desire. Normal sized. 2. Small (form fitting) display that integrates with existing side view cameras and a speedo for directly behind the steering wheel.

So is this another clear Acrylic based coating application?
  4. Did this fella just realalize he forgot to hit the send button 2 years later.

I do wonder if regular sheet metal welded/bonded/glued front and rear clip actually have replacement "chunks" that can be ordered for a repairs? If not, the whole conversation really is moot, ie fix at your own risk regardless if stamped or casted.
  5. Did this fella just realalize he forgot to hit the send button 2 years later.

Due to the value of an EV battery pack and motors on a totaled EV (assuming the battery is intact), I could see insurance companies totaling out an EV then parting it out for $. Technically I would think an EV would have more working drivetrain parts in this scenario than an ICE vehicle would...
  6. Did this fella just realalize he forgot to hit the send button 2 years later.

I don't recall indicating that the crash absorption rails were part of the castings. In most vehicle collisions regardless of ICE or EV where the damage goes beyond the absorption rails the vehicle will be totaled out by insurance. Watching some of the more recent build videos of Tesla's, the...
  7. Did this fella just realalize he forgot to hit the send button 2 years later.

From 3 years ago and not including additional improvements. As I understand it the design of the castings now allow this in additional sections as well. I recall something about there are specific markings or templates to be used to guide where to cut when doing casting repairs. Because of...
  8. Did this fella just realalize he forgot to hit the send button 2 years later.

I know I am guilty of composing work emails a day or two prior where I though I clicked the send button but had so many windows open that it went for awhile but this looks like it went farther that that. https://news.yahoo.com/tesla-breakthrough-may-totally-reinvent-220000358.html
  9. Apparently a brand new Tesla Model 3 after rebates can be the elusive $25K car right now.

Some restrictions apply. :) This is limited to Riverdale, LA and San Fran in Cali and some other restrictions but it does exist today.
  10. Elon Musk Financial Times Interview (Includes some Cybertruck content)

Oh I understand, but cash on hand is still a good thing to have and abundance of especially if they are wanted more Giga Factory's in the near future. Doesn't hurt the stock price either.
  11. Elon Musk Financial Times Interview (Includes some Cybertruck content)

Because they also have more cars and suv/uat's backlogged as well and those can be ramped up far quicker. The more cash flow they have coming in, the more cash they can use to tackle CT once that begins to ramp up. Cash flow for the cars can be realize at least a full year (maybe two) before...
  12. Elon Musk Financial Times Interview (Includes some Cybertruck content)

I am in the same boat myself. Though I believe the CT and its batteries can possibly outlive me, I am concerned that though the batteries may still be good, that newer battery tech will obsolete the cells in the CT in 10-20 years. Meaning, in 10 years, with some newer breakthrough chemistry...
  13. Ford to build 600k EV's/yr by end of next year and has 2nd EV truck in the works

Another interesting point would be if they could imagine to get close to those numbers, folks banking on the EV tax rebate Ford are in for a surprise as it will expire before the buyers get those trucks.
  14. Ford to build 600k EV's/yr by end of next year and has 2nd EV truck in the works

The Osborne effect may very well effect more than just the F150L it will likely also effect the entire F150 ICE truck lineup as well and that will happen even before their 2nd EV truck is announced.
  15. Elon Buys Twitter [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS AND INSULTS]

My opinion is Twitter is a holy grail type of treasure chest of conversations owned by Musk to now use to train a "Human AI" such as Optimus ROYALTY FREE. The vast amount of data he now owns and has disposal to is just about unimaginable outside perhaps the government. I really am surprised...
  16. Tesla acquires $LTUM Lithium corporation UPDATE: FAKE NEWS

As I understand it: [Edited for correctness] FSD HW2.0 - NVIDIA (past) FSD HW3.0/4.0 - Samsung (current/future) Infotainment - AMD (current) Who knows how many other vendors for all the various sensors.
  17. Tesla acquires $LTUM Lithium corporation UPDATE: FAKE NEWS

This is what I would like to see occur. I have no issues with Tesla still using AMD for the foreseeable future, its all the sensor IC's and such that not only could be self built but improved as well specific to Tesla needs. Eventually I could see them even doing the CPU/GPU/ASIC as well as...
