I read/heard somewhere that 's it's getting to the point where it doesn't really matter how much more power you're putting in the car, the limiting factor is the wheels to road. Street legal wheels can only take so much before they shred. This is where the roadsters cold gas thruster circumvents...
Be careful you're following a very passionate bunch now. I started with the dual motor no FSD, now I'm at Dual Motor with FSD and seriously considering Trimotor + FSD if I can swing it when it comes time.
Lots of good info here and there sure is a lot of it now.
Congrats.
Basically they're poop'n bricks.
They are losing or have lost a huge segment of the energy business. THey might make few bucks on charging stations, but if the prices are too high people will only use as a last resort.
IMO they were banking on hydrogen that way they could produce H with fossil...
Apparently from what I've heard cockpit is designed with similar tech to F1 racing. But yes that was my first concern as well, safety.
It is a very cool design though. Although if I were to get a 3 wheeler it would definitely by a NOBE.
There is now way you could consider this test anything but an amazing success. They never intended for it to land successfully (Elon only gave it a 30% chance).
By every metric:
-collection of data
-flight time
-fin motors
-belly flop
-glide
-kick out for vertical landing
-getting back to launch...
I worked in a unionized pulp and papermill as a student. This mill has been operating since 1910, was once the largest pulp and paper mill in the world. The same mill is now on it's last legs and IMO in large part due to unions. I watched as staff fell asleep for 4 hrs of a 12 hr shift. When I...
Fake news, saw the interview and Elon was just being polite answering a question diplomatically. No scenario where it would make any sense for Tesla to merge with existing OEM.
A battery producer, raw materials company, bleeding edge tech company maybe.

Finally
This'll be interesting to see how it will practically roll out!
'But adding Tesla is no easy feat after the stock’s record run pushed the company’s market valuation above $380 billion, making it...
Elon basically denied Sandy Munro's request for help on 3 wheel vehicle projects (Nobe, arcimoto and another) Elon responded that 3 wheelers were not safe enough.
Personally I'd love to have a Nobe one day, maybe when I retire.
Then when the stock was up GIGA board dumped their shares.
Not all that familiar with stocks but is that investor fraud? Drop a Tesla hint to raise your position to get out? https://thedeepdive.ca/giga-metals-chairman-unloads-majority-of-position-following-tesla-rumour-excitement/
End of the Badger, in my opinion.
GM is to engineer and build with their own tech, what the heck do they need Nikola for? convenient scape goat?
If GM was to use Nikola's 'superior tech' (yes sarcasm as it is yet to be proven) then it might make sense.
I don't know....I presume they'l make some $s on the GM Badger, so......really smart, in that all they have to do is sell it? This is such a weird partnership....somebody please explain the cost benefits here, too much for me.....
Very interesting. I'm sure many will have fun parceling this out if true, and looks to be.
Funny as I watched a You Tube on this topic last night and the presenter thought Toyota would be the much anticipated secret partner.
Nikola to partner with GM for production of Badger...
