Nebulous Robotics
My boys have an antweight (less than one pound) combat robotics team. We're taking our first run to the state championships this weekend. Would be amazing to roll up to future competitions sporting the team name on the plate frame.
Love the idea of these! Can you explain how they stay in place? I see something about "sponge strips", does that imply friction/pressure fit or are there retaining clips, magnets or some system of fasteners? Just wouldn't want these to slide into the pedal area. Thanks.
I don't understand this product. In the reference photos those are all things you wouldn't want flying into your airbag or your face in the event of an accident which is why most storage is secured below the airbags in vehicles. Call me old, but this seems foolish.
This gets to a bigger problem endemic in the US which is corporate boards really don't represent the interests of shareholders, as they are ostensibly supposed to do, as many board members are hand-picked by the founders, CEO's or largest investors (at one time). This issue of board composition...
Couldn't we just upvote/downvote on X with the number of our share? no?
OK, in my book he held up his end of the deal, so earned what the Board felt was appropriate (and I thought was pretty risky for him). Going back in time to judge with current knowledge is a mistake and unreasonable...
Sounds to me like you’re making the case for all chargers to only accept bills and coins. If the issue is so prevalent you’ll clean up with your Crissachargers.
Respectfully disagree. No one needs payment terminals and screens on chargers when smart phones have near 100% penetration - just start a charging session from an app if the vehicle doesn't support payment flows. Debit cards , payment cards and virtual debit cards also exist, chargers don't...
BINGO!
I think you've nailed it. Pace of rollout has stalled dramatically. This station in NJ was supposed to open in Q3 2023. Then Q1 2024. Now? 2024. I guess at some time during the year? Maybe?
Then there is this one I've been tracking which was voted a winner and announced in Q3...
This also started with Fred at Electrek, watch the sources. What was reported was misinterpreted wildly in favor of catchy headlines.
What seems to be true (and Musk confirmed) is that the "in a box" manufacturing process Tesla was aiming to rollout for Model 2 has been put back on the shelf...
I'd wager the pause here is temporary and related entirely to the NEVI-related funding and new Superchargers. Musk pulled the plug on the lot and will restart, likely after the November elections, with a new team (maybe hiring back some of those folks who were let go) with a new strategy...
Absolutely Tesla should restrict access - and they are!
Lost in the noise of OEM's desperate to issue press releases about Supercharger access are three small facts:
Tesla is producing and distributing adapters - so they can ration what is produced, when, and to which OEM's they are delivered...
While Reuters isn't known for being on point either, The Information has been around for a minute.
Lots of speculation here, but my interpretation (yes, it's an informed guess) is that Mr. Musk wasn't happy about new Superchargers getting screens, payment terminals, etc. in order to receive...
This is Fred Lambert from Electrek who is in a pissing contest with Elon (guess who's winning). His reporting hasn't always been on the level or on point. Take it with a grain of salt until you have independent corroboration.
