Like lane departure, I agree with the driver having ultimate control, but I don't mind it giving me a nudge to make sure I've thought it through. I'm reminded of a part of a Heinlein book, when one character finds out another has disabled the safety interlocks on the windows on a vehicle...- Bill837

The "Dutch Reach" and parallel parking safety!
Like properly adjusted mirrors (if you can see your fenders, they are not) it can take a while to adjust. I fought off and on for three years before I finally got over it. Luckily I taught my kids this early, like driving a stick :)- Bill837
