Those are easily the most strident opinions I've read about Elon. While I believe there may be validity to some of your comments, I find myself in the uncomfortable position of defending him. You clearly overstate (see bold above) his "narcissism" and completely ignore his self identified...

Only got part way through last night but a fascinating interview. I was happy to hear a return to Tesla might be in the offing as he brings a lot to the table and seems to have a good understanding of, and respect for Elon which is an essential element.

For all you California haters ... you're right, you would not like living here so please stay where you are. South Dakota seems nice although the economy is a bit less robust.

I had to look up hoi polloi ... I'm guessing that term is only used in faculty lounges and select country clubs ;-). The charger build out seems to be happening and a no-brainer is to use select gas stations with convenience stores for EV charging. As for vandals and thieves, that is what it is.

That sounds reasonable to me ... I wonder how many existing plug in hybrids can go 30-40 miles without ICE assist.

I think this is inevitable and more and more public chargers will appear as EV adoption increases. As I drive around there are more EV's but it is still a very small percentage of the vehicles. So, as more affordable EV's arrive from China, and US manufacturers ramp up their production we will...
