While I hope Elon is correct and not just being his usually optimistic self, I think those who are predicting the chip shortage will last at least another year are probably more accurate.
To my knowledge, Tesla firmware does NOT check or care how many occupants are in the vehicle. It does however warn if a seat sensor is triggered and the corresponding seatbelt is not fastened.
Use or avoidance of toll roads and HOV lanes are preferences that can be set for the navigation system.
Topics like this just prove we are getting a bit weird waiting not only for CT production to start, but for ANY official info from Tesla as to final specs and images of the production CT. ;)

In my opinion, the tri-motor CT would be great for towing larger trailers, but that is not my use case. For me the dual motor version should be adequate as my main thing is to be able to get around in the winter when the roads can be slick. FSD option is preferable as stated previously, but I...
I was not aware of this website until I stumbled upon it while searching for more info & opinions on the Cyberlandr camper concept. While I am not generally a “truck guy”, I have owned a few trucks (3) in the distant past. In late 2014 I decided it was time I finally became more...
