I know exactly what this is. It's clearly where they are storing the spec sheet, pricing information, insurance costs, and resale/scalping disclosures.
I don't disagree that spaceX will ever be made public. I take an interest in other things space related, but not to the point that I'd want to invest in them.
I don't generally invest in wall street. I just had this $ sitting in another fund that I hadn't contributed to in over a decade so I...
I'm not going to Mars. But as a lifelong space professional, about the only thing I obsess over more then the CT, is spaceX. IT IS AWESOME. So I'd buy it if it was made public.
@Bill906 , yes I think that graph is useful. It talks about a specific vehicle at a specific charger. It would be interesting to see different varieties of the most popular commercial chargers out there.
I really only asked 1 question and asked that a couple "details" be considered when answering 1) we are talking about city driving and commuting 2) keep in mind ramp time.
Not at all. I was asking just to compare normal fill times with an ICE vehicles to what one could expect with an EV...
In wasn't. I actually thought I was posting a pretty simple question. Caveating the question with the statement that I know it's not a big deal and I know that driving is different in an EV.
I didn't foresee this question as unreasonable. Hell, people run out of gas. I can't explain why...
That's a good portion of the point. It may not be how they "want" to use it. They are are out of charge for some reason. They don't want to charge or be inconvenienced any more then is necessary...so how quick can they get that gallon or two equivalency?
Fair point that chargers are not as readily available as gas stations. But one (super, L2 whatever) might be more available (closer) then home.
Comparing a rare needed charge in town to a consumer asking the fridge to cook a steak is nonsense. Cars move people whether they are gas or...
It may be impractical, but it's being asked a lot and not just by me. EV advocates, dealers and manufacturers should answer the question truthfully and hope it doesn't turn the potential convert away. If the answer is only a couple miles, then remind them how rare it will be, (since they can...
My only question was how many miles can one get in a quick 5 minute stop if needed while on the road (not to be confused with a road trip) just somewhere in town?
There have been some good answers provided, but I don't think I've seen any that addressed the ramp-up time when plugging in. I...
Thank you @cvalue13
I don't disagree. But I'm not the only one asking it. Google the question or similar variables of it and you'll find lots of questions and answers but none from manufacturers.
ICE drivers want to know the answer regardless of how nonsensical it maybe, but they are not...
@cvalue13 your post is solid, but why is so hard for someone or the EV community to try and make the comparisons? It's as if they just want all ICE drivers to believe EV are the best things ever but then never answer the questions directly posed.
An ICE driver asks a question and EV community...
The comments about charging in 3 secs are snarky and so unrealistic I didn't know if I should take it as a joke or not. You have to unplug. How much range did you get in those 3 seconds?
