  1. 3 future Tesla models teased by Musk -- Cybervan? Cybercab Robotaxi? Model 2?

Would make sense for a cybervan for families with bench seating for third row and captain seats in the 2nd row....then for a commercial vehicle just remove all the seats and make it rear wheel only...2 birds one stone theory.
  2. Report: Tesla lays off entire Supercharger team! [Update: Elon Musk says supercharger growth will continue]

I believe Tesla will have some headwinds with demand for the next year or so and supercharger installs are very expensive, about $500k each for standard 8-12 stalls. I think the break even on a stall is prob 3-5 years. So it makes sense for them to halt production....also to shorten the break...
  3. FSD safety and FUD

I understand how Waymo works but they are only really restricted by red tape from permits. I think highway driving is a much easier problem to solve than downtown SF during rush hour. I much prefer Waymo's approach to autonomous cars. Better to have a a very good system in place and start small...
  4. FSD safety and FUD

After using FSD free trial in SF...it's no where near as smooth and as safe as the Waymo here in the city. I would say it's about 65% there as compared to Waymo...I think Elon needs to ride in a Waymo and see how smooth an autonomous ride can be, they're the gold standard as of now. Cruise was...
  5. FSD v11 Released to Customers.

I believe the downfall of pure vision with teslas approach is that our own eyes fails us. We've been through a blizzard, foggy weather, storms, our own eye sight can only go so far. With a camera behind a windshield with wipers going full tilt cannot see any better than us, and most likely worse...
  6. FSD v11 Released to Customers.

I believe they are targeting the cities with already high rideshare usage. Launching a rideshare program in rural areas with less population density doesn't make sense for a short term goal.
  7. FSD v11 Released to Customers.

Depending on where you live, in 15-20 years waymo, cruise would have already solved the problem. Probably no need to own a car if rides get super cheap because of competition. I currently see driverless cars running around everyday in busy environments, tight streets and they seem to be working...
  8. FSD v11 Released to Customers.

For me FSD isn't really needed full time and have been renting it monthly if I was doing a a couple long road trips usually in the summer months. $15k way to expensive for what it is. Novelty for sure but wears off quickly when you have a close call running into another car or turns wide into a...
  9. First Supercharger with Magic Dock CCS Adapter charges up a Rivian

Seems like tesla is upgrading all the chargers at the sites with magic dock. Which means they better get rolling on adding new supercharger sites in urban area. Its crazy in SF, we only have one real supercharger site that doesn't cost money to park at. Tesla needs to just rent some warehouses...
  10. Tesla to open ~20% of its U.S. Supercharger network to other EV by end of 2024

I think for Tesla to qualify for the subsidies all the "new stations" promised must be interoperable. This would be the easiest way for the government to keep track of stations and money given. Tesla would also get credit for stations that are converted with magic docks.
  11. Tesla to open ~20% of its U.S. Supercharger network to other EV by end of 2024

I believe at the end of the day yes there will be more chargers from other companies, but as of right now Tesla are the most reliable. I do not believe these other companies will magically be more reliable, and the government should hold them accountable if they are accepting these funds...
  12. Master Plan 3 Coming March 1 on Investor Day

I could see Tesla building their own giga press one day and make most of the vehicle structure in 3 parts..front rear and top castings. Hopefully we gets some concrete details and pricing...but i think with such a big launch for CT it will get its own launch event with first deliveries.
