Low price Model 2 still in product plans according Tesla Q2 update

"Tesla has NOT cancelled plans for low cost models with human controls. They simply decided not to mention them at an event focused on CyberCab, Robovan, and Optimus. The low cost models are still in the pipeline and should be released here in 2025. Check out the following snippet from Tesla's recent 2024 Q2 update for more details "

Hope we actually see a model 2 in 2025. And just goes to show that the press' reaction is always overblown...

The event was focused solely on Robotaxis, AI and Optimus robot. Why would they have revealed or discussed a Model 2, there was already so much to show and cover.
