Chiming in on the kit changes.

After 100 kits worth of feedback, we learned a lot! Our Cybertruck Specialty Kits work amazingly well to protect your Cybertruck but the ratios of product are off. So we are making appropriate changes to the kit to include EVERYTHING you need to protect your Cybertruck without the extra coating. Below are the changes we have made effective immediately to our kits.

-Reduce the amount of ProtectaClear from 2 quarts to one.
-Add one pint of 99% isopropyl alcohol for solvent wipe step
-increase number of specialty applicators (we are still testing alternatives and will include the best ones we find that offer superior finish)

We reduced the price to reflect these changes, as some items were added and others were removed. We want to be sure we are offering the highest quality products at the best value for you.

Adding the isopropyl alcohol means that the kits must be shipped by ground, but we have a code just for this forum for free economy ground shipping Cybertruck2024.
So it will now do your truck once instead of twice? With going from two quarters to 1?

Alcohol is so cheap and easy to buy locally it doesn't seem worth adding to a "kit". A good applicator has value.

Same with pads ($8-$12), but overall they are a business so I understand. There is cost associated in sourcing and packaging all this material into a kit for our convenience. They are offering their product and service at a responsible cost. I just posted about the new kit because I was bummed out about the price increase. Old kits could easily do 2 CTs with some spares for year 2 maintenance.

However, I already have everything because I detail my own cars and picked up BKFs too. I just need a metal pan and the actual protect clears. I'll just buy a 32oz can. With that said, they are not forcing us to buy the kits. They still offer each product a la carte.

Now, please post more pictures from the event. Interested in seeing the matte finish too.

Will there be an option/method to order for those of us who cannot get ground shipping? (i.e. Alaska/Hawaii/non-US?)

If you get a CT in HI let me know and I will bring you a kit. Thing it is going to be a long time before they hit the islands.

It will do the truck once with enough for touch ups for a while. We were getting complaints about too much coating and people trying to piece together a kit, which some of these items we do not sell separately.

A year or two down the road when you are ready to re-coat, you will just need more ProtectaClear rather than a whole new kit.

We can ship it without the alcohol and you can purchase that locally at any hardware store.
Does it have to be 99% IPA, or can I go with a lower concentration (say 70%)? The big box stores here do not carry 99% IPA, nor will they ship it. Is there another product that I can substitute for the IPA, such as Xylene or mineral spirits?

You shouldn’t use lower than 91%, it leaves residue on the surface before coating. You can alternatively use denatured alcohol or acetone.
