Bored? Check out the digital dash I installed...

So I have a 1970 Chevy C10 that I've owned for about 7 years. The old gauges were hit or miss (mostly due to bad grounds and other misc wiring issues) and I wanted to upgrade to something more modern.

I looked at several options and settled on the Holley Digital Dash. I had previously installed the Sniper EFI system about 3 years ago and was pretty happy with it. So upgrading the dash within their ecosystem made sense and the customization options were imprressive.

I know there are some out there that despise digital gauges and screens in classic / muscle cars, but I figured this group might enjoy.

I wanted to upgrade to something more modern.

When you first drive one of those old cars, you realize it takes to hands to steer, shortly thereafter you realize, sometimes it takes two feet to brake. We forget the days of manual steering and brakes but reminisce about the days of ole. Soon, the restoration decision is made to add power steering, pwr brks, likely upgrade seat belts or add if the vehicle never had them. Before long your classic has become “your classic” where you add features based on your view of safety. Headlamps, tail lamps, everything in between can be changed out and make the vehicle safer still keeping the classic look of the body. I like the modern look of your led trimmed digital gauges. I would prefer the original gauges, call me retro, but I would also like them to work consistently and having been under a hood or two, I understand your decision completely.

That Corvette dash cluster arch straddling a Chevy column shifter! I can’t tell you how odd that combo struck -incongruent.

LOVE electronic dash. Weird seeing dials all zero-left/max-right at stop/start. Can’t go back analog. Love all the electronic throttle/peddle mapping doodads. Especially, power profiles at the touch of a finger.
