This is good news. Although I don't think Toyota is the only one petitioning.

I think most new Teslas have adaptive capable headlights for the last couple of years.

I think it ‘only’ took something like 4-5 years for NHTSA to finally issue a ruling for low volume motor vehicle manufacturing (such as the ‘new’ DeLorean). This overly long delay on NHTSA’s part is a big reason why DeLorean has now decided to go EV for their ‘new’ DeLoreans.

I’m happy about the news but I’m also not holding my breath that they’ll stick by their late 2023 final ruling.

I rented a new model 3 lr last week and it had matrix headlights that projected the Tesla during the light show. I couldn't tell if it had adaptive headlights enabled but it did have an odd middle high beam. Could switch from low to middle to hella high.

Was it a performamce M3 because I was told that is the only M3 variant with the matrix lights (source was Tesla but that and $5 will get me a Starbucks latte).
